I used to use uTorrent, its very fast and can get seeds and peers very nicely. My download makes it fast.
I would becareful with Limewire, it has a nasty way of "creating" fake files in your computer and filling up harddrive space...This was a useful article thank you.
Better use uTorrent and Vuze which are the Top of 10 Peer to Peer Torrent Programs now a days.
I heard that the files downloaded from torrent clients will carry viruses. Is it true?
Yeh, you are right, but not in trusted Torrent software Programes. Like uTorrent, Vuze, Bittorrent etc. There are mseveral Best P2P Software, which are secure and trusted by millions of Torrent P2P Users on the web. Thank you! (*_*)
Great Hub and I never really used Torrents, thanks for taking the time to share how it all works. Your Awesome! Kind Regards ~~ dgicre
Great hub, i have used Vuse i like that one a lot !
Just an FYI Deluge will work on windows platform at least win7 for sure as it's the standard one I run now instead of uTorrent. It encrypts the ingoing and outgoing data stream by default just in case you have an ISP that likes to be nosy. Nice selections though, and good write up.
Sure it will work on Windows 7, which is based on Windows Operating System. I prefer to use uTorrent or Vuze, these i can trust more.
Thanks for a nice hub, I used to use utorrent.
Very good, I use Utorrent, didn't know it was still the best.
I use utorrent 2.0 its best i love it ... it certainly increase my download rate as well.
Hello doyouknow,
Very nice collection of information. My son downloads a lot and he is using uTorrent. I have e-mailed this hub to him. Voted 'up' and rated 'useful'. Keep writing!
Limewire was just blocked by court-order recently, but I wonder about the the constitutionality of such blocking--I mean even file-sharing is a form of 'free speech'. What if I am sharing my thoughts about something or other over a torrent file so that you can read it...this free-speech. And the minute I try to distinguish what is and what isn't "my" thoughts it becomes a real legal-labyrinth. I am sure the debate about what can and what cannot be transmitted over the internet is going to go on for many years...
very Good work !!! Just amazing.
I prefer BitTorrent, but I suppose it's all the same as long as you can find what you're looking for without spam, etc
Nice hub!
Utorrent all the way, Is Limewire still in existence?
Great job! all in one place.
i think the “morpheus ultra” is the best forever . see in youtube how fast is
The time of P2P has faded quite some time ago.
Sure you always will have some P2P programs.
But these days everything goes via Internet webbased sites.
Sure you dont have to agree with me.
But sites like Rapidshare, hotfile, putfile and the many other websites that offer you to upload very large files.
Are just better.
For example if your looking for a game, you just use Google like ''office rar rapidshare''.
then you dont even need P2P programs.
That way, you can find just everything.
Most P2P programs filled with hidden spyware and switches that we will never know about. Sure you have people who say ''you are wrong. THIS software is fully safe''.
But YOU only got the execute (exe). Not the open-source.
And these P2P programs arent running for free.
And my best advise you gonna get. IF you want to download lets say it out loud, ''Illegal'' warez on the internet without paying for it.
Its good to have 2 seperated PC's.
One that you use to do your lil working and banking stuff.
And one you use to download 'stuff' from or P2P or HTTP sites.
That way when you trapped by something. And eventually you will if you downloading a lot. Downloading illegal is like russian roulette. It can be clean. But the dudes who are hosting the file. You cant see them. And on the internet force is users. The more users you have. The bigger a attack can be (from the point of a viruscreator)
Well. then the damage is then just a gaming pc that you have to format (or using Norton Ghost 2003 for XP, or later for winVista and 7).
Good luck chaps.
